This budget is being utilized to provide Elementary & Compulsory Education to the students of I-VIII classes and providing quality education to the students to minimize drop-out rate to zero. 5752 primary schools have been shifted to Panchayati Raj Department alongwith 285 primary schools to Urban Local Bodies to fulfill the mandate 72 of constitution and give more powers to Panchayats.

Though Schools have been shifted to Panchayati Raj & Urban Local Bodies, all students are getting benefits in the form of Scholarships, Mid-Day-Meal, Books etc. through the School Education Department. For this, funds are provided by the State Govt. and Govt. of India under different Non-Plan & Plan Schemes.

9998 vacancies of JBT/ETT Teachers are being filled shortly by the recruiting Teaching Fellows against these posts on contract basis for three and half year with an additional expenditure of Rs. 54,58,90,800 crore annually.

171 promotional posts of Block Primary Education Officers are being filled shortly through Departmental Promotion Committee at Govt. level and posts falling vacant after BPEOs being promoted will also be filled by promoting Head Teacher to Centre Head Teacher and JBT teachers to HT by District Education Officers.
