Special emphasis are being made to provide in-service training to the teachers through trained key resource persons especially trained by the University / College faculty or Center of excellence. In the State of Punjab out of 17 District Institutes of Educational Trainings 14 DIETs & 24 Private Institutions are imparting pre-service training to the students for becoming elementary trained teachers. Similarly the elementary teachers already working are being given training in 17 DIETs. The Teachers of the High & Senior Secondary Schools are being given teacher training in 12 Govt. in-service training centers.
